Our Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin Patch Fall 2014 (13 of 21)Every fall, on about October 30th, I race over to the pumpkin patch to nestle Judah in the middle of them and take the obligatory fall pictures.  I always kick myself because, by then, most pumpkin patches are just piles of hay and a handful of rotten pumpkins.  (And then, if you’d like to know, I rush over to select one of the three Halloween costumes left in three sizes too small, because I’m awesome like that.)  NOT THIS YEAR!  It’s only October 4th today, ya’ll….and we’ve got pumpkins coming out of our ears!  BOOM!

We visited the Elgin Christmas Tree Farm  this morning and had a blast!  We loved the small-town Texas vibe, southern hospitality, and homemade fair games.  I felt like I was 10 years old again at summer camp.  And to me, that’s a great feeling:).
